Friday, November 21, 2014

We can’t think of a better way to ring in the holiday season than with a trip to the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” A visit to bright and sunny Orlando swiftly turns into a winter dreamland once the doors open for Walt Disney World’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Gather with your loved ones and watch in wonder as Magic Kingdom transforms itself into a wintry wonderland with exciting character greetings, awe-inspiring shows, and playful parades. We’ve collected some of the best tips for visiting this festive scene and have them here for your enjoyment. Read on to learn how to make the most out of your Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party visit.

The jolly festival will begin right at 7:00 p.m., but ticket holders can enter as early as 4:00 p.m. We recommend taking advantage of the early admission so you have the opportunity to ride a few attractions and catch Queen Elsa making her holiday debut at Cinderella’s Castle at 6:15 p.m. Plus, the early entry gives you time to grab a bite to eat before the Party starts.

Complimentary cookies and cocoa are offered throughout the Park for your pleasure (and warmth)! The lines can get pretty lengthy for these holiday delicacies near the Park’s entrance, so try skipping the first cocoa stand you come across as it will most likely be the busiest. The Golden Horseshoe is said to be a nice place to get your cookies and cocoa because the lines are typically shorter there. You can get the most out of Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas Parade by finding a spot on Main Street. The best Parade views come from sitting across from Cinderella’s Castle. We love it because every festive picture taken will have the lit up Castle featured in the background. Definitely a priceless moment.

It’s no surprise that everyone wants to have a great spot for the Holiday Wishes fireworks show, but in this case, the best firework views are actually farther away. If you’re too close to the Castle, you won’t get the grand effect of this instrumental light show. So grab your family and secure a distant spot for the best views of cheery wonderment.

Of course, our best advice in enjoying this Magic Kingdom spectacular is to book your Orlando stay with us. We offer all of the fun and value of staying near the Park, with transportation and accommodations that provide all the comforts of home your family desires!
