Expect a very full day at Epcot (it stands for Every Person Comes Out Tired!), as it's really two parks in one, shaped like a giant figure '8'. You'll be pleased to know that the Enclave Suites, a fine Epcot hotel of choice, puts the Disney characters never too far away!
At the American Adventure at Epcot, Ben Franklin and Mark Twain take you on a patriotic tour of U.S. history. Along the way they pick up Susan B. Anthony and Martin Luther King Jr. to recreate famous American events. The 30-minute show includes an inspiring film with an amazing score. Before the show, catch a performance by the "Voices of Liberty" or "American Vybe" singing groups. Let's not forget the Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps outside the show-they perform Thursdays-Mondays.

Future World (the first half of the '8') is an interactive technological playground that offers trips around the human body, journeys into space, voyages under the sea and quantum leaps back in time! Arrive early and head for Test Track - this will wake you up! Then head for Ellen's Universe Of Energy, a truly 'moving' theatre experience, and Innovations, a hands-on expo of futuristic gadgets and gizmos. The newest attraction in Future World is Mission:Space. This one -of-a-kind look into the final frontier will launch teams of armchair astronauts into a unique space adventure.
To stay ahead of the throng, head over to the World Showcase (the second half of the '8') when it opens at 11a.m. You can return to finish up Future World later in the day and catch our other recommendations like Body Wars over at Wonders of Life.
Around the World Showcase Lagoon you can eat, drink, dance and sing your way around the world in the space of a couple of hours! Each of the 11 nations represented has live entertainment so check the performance schedule or else you'll miss out. A dining reservation for lunch or dinner in one of the excellent Epcot theme park restaurants is a must.
For many guests, the shining star at Epcot® theme park is the high energy Tapestry of Nations Street Festival. Twice nightly twenty-foot tall puppets sway and dance their way around the entire lagoon to a very infectious beat! The grand finale to the evening is IllumiNations.
Originally envisioned by Walt Disney as an actual "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow" with real residents living and working in a Disney-fied utopia, his successors instead developed a world's fair-like park. Future World focuses on emerging technologies while World Showcase features pavilions devoted to a rainbow of nations. Originally the park took itself far too seriously and even banned Mickey and his pals. Now, the tone is lighter and attractions like Test Track and Mission Space have even given the park a bit of an edge. Enclave Suites location makes it the prime area accommodation and a favorite for the whole family.
