Weird science has arrived at the Science Center of Orlando! Meet the inexhaustible Dr. Dare and his creation, Frankenboy, aided by his tonguebidextrous l ab assistant, Eye-Gor. We'll tune into our plucky field reporter, the irrepressible Ona Quest, maven of science, who's often quoted as saying, "Honey, you should know half of what I've forgotten." It's serious science delivered with a twist. Wired Science kiosks are rich interactive experiences using sound, graphics, animation and video.
The aluminum-domed Crosby Observatory atop Orlando Science Center houses Florida's largest publicly accessible refractor telescope. A one-of-a-kind, custom-built telescope, along with several smaller scopes are available for night sky viewing on Friday and Saturday nights. Peer through the powerful, 10-inch lens of the refractor telescope to view the planets, the four moons of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn and deep sky objects such as galaxies, nebulas and double stars.
Join the Orlando Science Center for Cocktails and the Cosmos every third Friday of the month. Enjoy great food, drinks, live music, and discover the universe. Or have the OSC host your kid's birthday party. The OSC has 3 packages to choose from along with party themes. For more information on the Orlando Science Center, please visit their site.
