When to Visit Orlando?

October 10, 2016

We might be biased when we say that Orlando is beautiful all year round, but there are many things to consider when picking which season is best for your dreamy Orlando trip. You will definitely enjoy the ‘City Beautiful’ much more if you pick a time of the year that offers events that align with your preferences. And that is why we decided to make this blog post to help you pick out a season that perfectly matches your interests!

Fall: One of the most perfect seasons to travel to Orlando. The prices are typically lower than those peak summer months, and you can enjoy themed events like the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and the cute Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney! The lines at the theme parks are very manageable and the weather is also very favorable since it starts getting a bit cooler, so you no longer have to withstand temperatures above 100 degrees.

Winter: If you love the holiday season, you will have a blast in Orlando. All the parks are perfectly decorated for Christmas and they have special parades and breathtaking fireworks! The weather is cooler, but winters in Florida tend to be pretty mild. Once in a while you will have freezing days, but it is not very common. The cooler weather is just perfect for the theme parks, because walking around under the blaring sun for several hours a day can get you even more exhausted. And don’t worry, if you come to stay with us at the Enclave Suites, we do have an indoor heated pool that is open 24 hours and a couple of Jacuzzis as well!

Spring: Lovely time in Orlando with amazing temperatures and events like the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, and Mardi Gras at Universal Studios. The beginning of spring has lower temperatures, but by March you can already count on days to be very hot! The theme parks seem to be a little less crowded as the kids are in school, but you do have to consider Spring Break and Easter because those dates are always crowded.

Summer: Most people have vacation time during summer, so it’s easy to understand why the theme parks have really long lines.  On the other hand, you get to enjoy plenty of sunshine by one of our three pools at the Enclave and visit Orlando’s best water parks. The best tips for the summer are to make sure you book your FastPasses+ in advance for your Walt Disney World Resort visit and don’t forget to bring your sunscreen and refillable water bottle to keep hydrated at all times!
